This chutney, with its hint of savory spices, is an antidote for over-the-top sweet holiday snacks.
-
½ cup apple cider vinegar or white balsamic vinegar
-
½ cup brown sugar
Simmer until the syrup thickens slightly. Add the following ingredients and stir frequently over low heat until most of the syrup is absorbed:
-
½ cup dried cranberries
-
2 pears (peeled, cored and diced)
-
1 apple (peeled, cored, and diced)
-
¼ teaspoon ground rosemary
-
¼ teaspoon cumin
The chutney may be stored in a refrigerator for several days. Spoon over a round of brie cheese and warm for 20-30 seconds in a microwave.
The chutney also pairs well with turkey.
