I’ve been in a spring cleaning and de-stashing mode lately. Among my stash of crafting supplies were beads from various sources. I thought it was time they were turned into useful jewelry. Some beads were originally vintage necklaces from my grandmother and my mother. The necklaces broke years ago, but I saved the beads. They now have a useful second life as bracelets and earrings.
Other beads had no sentimental origin so they became memory wire bracelets to be given to any little girls who visit. I particularly enjoyed developing some new techniques such as using spacer bars and double holed beads to make cuff-type bracelets from memory wire. They are so comfortable and fun to wear.
