My husband said he needed to run an errand. Buying a 1932 five-window Deuce Coupe was his errand. Funny thing is, he had been trying to buy the car for fifteen years. Several years ago he gave up and started building his own 32 Ford Hot Rod.

Henry Ford would never believe the Hot Rod’s body was built in his factory eighty-two years ago. It was chopped three inches, making it a true Hot Rod. The small block Chevy engine has three deuce carbs with a Borg Warner 4-speed. It was built in the early 90’s and featured in the August 1994 Rodder’s Digest.

The previous owner enjoyed it for twenty years and was pretty attached. When he saw it come down the street with a new driver, he said it was like seeing an old girlfriend dating a guy you didn’t like much. Well, he may get a chance to reclaim it when all the pieces come together on the new 32. Stay tuned for progress reports.
