Still Warm Peach Pie
My first choice for a dessert is usually chocolate – the darker the better. But what can say “summer day” better than a pie made from peaches still warm from the sun? Last year, our peach tree gifted us with 25 gallons of lovely, golden fruit – much of which we froze and are still enjoying. For the pictured pie, I used a recipe from my ©1986 New Good Housekeeping Cookbook and added several dashes of nutmeg and 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring to the sliced peaches, cinnamon, sugar and flour filling.
Do you have an original peach dessert idea to share?
