Dear Blog Friends,
Several years ago, the Cúpla Sisters started a blog with goals to celebrate the positives and to provide an oasis of peace and civility amidst a desert of increasingly ugly rhetoric. This morning it feels to us that ugliness, bigotry and misogyny won this round. We do not have the heart to continue putting our energies into playing Pollyanna. With regret, we have made the decision to put all of our available energies into efforts we hope can move the needle in a positive direction.
For that reason, our blog is going on indefinite hiatus. Thank you for following us, and our hope remains that you will find A Little Vacation Every Day.
I feel the same way! Let’s move the needle!
What might be the impact of a million women marching on Washington? I hope we find out.
What impact might a million women have if they fight to keep our rivers free of benzene laced oil? I hope we find out.
I’m sad about the hiatus but I understand and share your feelings. Thank you for all of the work that you have put into the blog. It has always been a fun treat to read, and I hope you feel up to it again in the future.
We anticipate we will be writing again soon but with a different focus. Perhaps now is the time for action rather than restful vacations.
So sorry the horizon looks bleak. Will miss you both.
Thank you so much for giving us a vacation in a blog. Keep well and know that goodness and kindness will prevail.
God bless you both!
Thank you dear cousin-in-law. Peace also with you. Susan
