Salon du Chocolat extravaganzas of deliciousness are being held this week in Paris, New York City and twenty other metropolitan locations around the world. None are near us (heavy sigh) but not to worry. We enjoyed lovely chocolate desserts and a little pampering at Class Act Restaurant in the Kirkwood Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Kirkwood Center’s hotel, which opened in 2010, has been awarded a Four Diamond rating by the American Automobile Association for the last three years. Only two other hotel facilities in Iowa have received the same rating. Hotel facilities receiving Four Diamonds must provide highest quality in luxury and service in all areas and also be stylishly appointed. The chic Soho style décor and modern architecture at the Kirkwood Center would be at home in any major metropolitan location in the world. The Hotel at Kirkwood Center is also a member of the prestigious Summit Hotels and Resorts.
Lucky are the Kirkwood Community College Hospitality Arts students who train at Kirkwood Center for careers in hospitality and culinary arts. It is the only such community college learning facility in the United States.
For the person who wondered about our blog theme, we are using a word press theme: Anew Child. The word press support group has been great about answering questions.
You really grabbed my attention at the end.
Thanks. I know, how cool would it be to take those classes? You could go anywhere. Thanks for the comment and for stopping by.
